How much does it cost to enter?

  

All contestants are required to submit a non-refundable entry fee of $200 for Miss, Junior, and $150 Lil" Miss due at time of application submissions. 

Entry fee includes: 

  • Registration fee
  • Meals
  • Official MIP Contestant t-shirt
  • Digital copies of official pageant night photos 


Entry Fee Does NOT Include:

  • Travel Expenses
  • Wardrobe
  • Hair & Makeup
  • Personal Expenses
  • Pageant tickets 

Ages

  To participate in Miss Indigenous Wisconsin & USA, applicants must meet the following criteria:


Age Divisions

  • Miss:      Ages 18–25 (must be 18 by the time of coronation)
  • Junior     Ages 14–17 (must be 14 by the time of coronation)
  • Little      Ages 10–13 (must be 10 by the time of coronation)

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an enrolled member of a federally recognized Wisconsin Tribe or a minimum of second descendancy (a grandparent must be an enrolled member).
  • Must  submit a copy of your tribal ID card or official documentation from your Tribal Enrollment Office confirming eligibility at the time of application.
  • Must have no previous or pending misdemeanor or felony convictions.
  • Must not have children.
  • Never been married
  • Must be in good standing in school or be a high school graduate.
  • Applicants should have a strong understanding of their culture and history, and be open to learning and expanding their knowledge.

What Are the Areas of Competition?

Contestants are evaluated across several key categories that highlight both personal strengths and cultural connection. These include:

  • Introduction
  • Interview (Miss & Jr.)
  • Cultural Presentation (Miss & Jr.)
  • Impromptu Question 
  • Overall Impression

Do I Need Pageant Experience?

Not at all! No prior pageant experience is required to participate.
Miss Indigenous Wisconsin & USA is focused on character, community service, cultural involvement, and ambassadorship.

Pageant Ticket Sales

Tickets will be $10 per person, and free for children 5 years old and under.
